While you read, you can clarify ideas. If you don't understand a sentence you are reading, try breaking it into smaller parts, or meaningful chunks. You may also want to read the hard parts more slowly.

Break up the Sentence
Find the main part of the sentence first. Then find how the other parts tell about the ain part. Use the punctuation to help see the parts.

From the text:When you're a poor kid a a poor school, you worry a lot about how you look all the time, how much money you're spending on clothes and all that.

Slow down Don't race over the text. Slow down to get the meaning.
